Books

I am an author who writes everything from non-fiction, song lyrics and children’s books to novels. Mokaamalla menestykseen was published in 2021, New York – Maailman paras shithole city came out in 2022 and Feminismiä ihan kaikille in 2023. Kansankodin suomalaiset naiset was published in autumn 2024, and Luokkaretki is coming in 2026/2027.

Luokkaretki (Class Trip)

Coming in 2026/2027

The Finnish class society has not disappeared anywhere, even though its existence has been downplayed for decades. This book aims to show how social classes still shape Finns’ everyday lives, working life, education and identity. Class consciousness is the key to a fairer society.

Kansankodin suomalaiset naiset (Stories of Finnish Women in Sweden)

2024 Aviador Publishing

People have migrated from Finland to Sweden in several waves. The book tells, among others, the stories of the first female police officer in the north, an Olympic athlete, a Finnish language activist, a child of a multicultural family, a Sweden-Finnish tango musician, a dancer and a well-known Swedish feminist in their own words.

Feminismiä ihan kaikille (Feminism for Everyone)

2023 Minerva/Docendo Publishing

There are many – often mistaken – perceptions of feminism. The book provides a broad introduction to the fundamentals of feminism and helps readers understand the debate around it.

Maailman paras Shithole City (The World’s Best Shithole City)

2022 Avain Publishing

In 2020–2021 a lot happens in New York: a badly managed pandemic, Black Lives Matter, the elections and Trump’s antics. The atmosphere is strange. People fear the present and are anxious about the future.

Mokaamalla menestykseen (Success by Failing)

2021 Avain Publishing

You may have been just going through the motions of life, listening too much to others and fearing failure. The book explores change through expert interviews and the stories of people who have found their own path. It also considers what a better working life should be like and what we should demand from our work.

Projects

I have been involved in several projects as an expert, writer, producer and storyteller.

Game On! Gamification project

My roles: Planning, story & script writing and game design

Game On! is a European cooperation project financed under the Creative Europe program. It brings together 4 partners from 4 EU countries (Finland, Italy, the Netherlands and Greece) with the aim of bringing gamification in cultural processes, with a specific focus on developing new digital educational products dedicated to childhood.

Game On!, Minecraft-based culture game intends to act as a forerunner in the dissemination of a new model for children’s education in humanities, based on greater contamination between digital products and ‘traditional’ educational programs.

Luova Lämpiö – Collaborations between the sectors

My roles: Planning, storytelling

Luova Lämpiö is a Business Finland funded co-research project. It sets out to develop a new model for forming and facilitating non-typical, novel collaborations and partnerships that engage freshly graduated creative sector talents and experienced creative professionals who do not traditionally collaborate with businesses in developing innovative solutions to cross-sector business challenges.
